MARGARET “JEAN” COLLIE
March 27, 1937 – January 10, 2026

Peacefully, with her long-time friend Kristine by her side, Jean passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Grace Hospice at the age of 88.

She leaves behind her friends, Joanne Gerard, Kristine de Graaf, Darryl Audette and many other friends.

Jean spent many years working at MTS. She was an avid walker who enjoyed daily walks during all seasons, regardless of the weather. She enjoyed her yearly Fehr-Way Tours trips that she looked forward to every year. Many of those trips were with her friend Joanne and some trips were by herself where she enjoyed meeting new people. During the tour stops, she would take time to go for additional walks. Jean had a love for cats; she would even be referred to as “Auntie” or “Granny” to various fur babies.

There will be no service as per Jean’s wishes.

Special thanks to the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for their care and support during Jean’s stay. Thank you to the Grace Hospice staff for all their support, compassion and care that made her last days and those who were by her side comfortable.

In memory of Jean, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society to assist in homing of future cats.
