JOSEPH CLEVE CAL LANGFORD

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Cleve Cal Langford (Cal) on August 28, 2025 following a brief illness. At only 66 years Cal had much to be proud of.

A two time Olympian in the four man bobsled, Calgary 1988 and Albertville, France 1992 and numerous Manitoba and Canadian track and field awards. Cal enjoyed a 43 year career at Via Rail Canada which he very much missed upon retirement.

A devoted husband to Lisa, his wife of 23 years, loving and proud father to Claire (Kyler) and Sean, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to brag about the achievements of his children, nephews and nieces and was proud of each and every one of them.

Cal was the neighbourhood watch on the street where he lived and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbours, family and friends. He will be missed by many.

Rest in peace Cal.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Autism Manitoba in Cal’s memory would be welcomed.
