My mom Myrna Reinhorn met Jean at the Shaftesbury. They quickly became best friends. They were always together. Initially, when my mom moved to the Shaftsbury, she was not very happy, but everything changed when she met Jean. My mum was also a nurse, and they immediately found things in common. They would look out for each each other. My mom moved away from the Shaftsbury about two years ago due to dementia however, I have never forgotten the positive impact Jean had on my mom. Auntie Jean was fun loving. She was relaxed, feet up just waiting for something to laugh about. She was compassionate and helpful but she could also tell it like it is and sometimes we need that. She will be missed.

Jean was always fun and outgoing. She loved to laugh and she was helpful wherever she saw a need. She always brought food to help with meals when the families got together, which was often when the kids were small. She was a great sister to Norma and will be missed.
