EDWARD (TED) DUNSFORD

     It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Edward (Ted) Frank Dunsford after a long battle with cancer on September 19, 2023.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 46 years, Marlene, his children, Andrew (Alexandra) and Katherine, his grandchildren, Alyssa and Adrianna, and many relatives and friends.

He was born in Winnipeg on March 21, 1947. Ted started his professional career as a red seal electrician and continued his studies by completing his Electrical Technology diploma. From there he decided to shift focus and teach Electrical at Red River College. While teaching at Red River College, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Management. After years as an Electrical instructor, Ted transitioned into managerial roles with K.T. Industries, executive roles with Coldstream Canada, and concluded his career as the President & CEO of Dominion Tanners.

In his youth, he enjoyed playing all sports. As an adult, he cheered for his favourite sports teams and continued playing tennis, curling, and golfing with his family at St. Charles Country Club. He was Marlene’s sous chef and loved being a Dad and Gigi with his hearty laugh.

Service to be held at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, September 27th at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted’s memory to Misericordia Hospital, Grace Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba.
