It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Audrey Jean McCready on January 29, 2026, at the Grace Hospital. Audrey was 96 years old.

Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack McCready, who passed away in 1990. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Kathleen McCready; her granddaughters, Jordan Murphy and Paige Murphy; her sister, Adrienne Milne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Audrey shared a very special and cherished relationship with her daughter and granddaughters. The bond they shared was one of deep love, laughter, unwavering support, and countless treasured memories.

In addition to her husband, Audrey was predeceased by her brothers, Norman Lambert and Bud (Allan) Lambert and her sisters, Joan Bird, Edna Brown, and Doreen Brown.

Audrey was born and raised in Oshawa Ontario. She moved with her family to Churchill Manitoba in 1966. In 1970 she relocated to Winnipeg working for the post office and later the federal government before retiring in 1991. She had a love of travel, reading, and knitting, and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Audrey was known for her sharp wit and a sense of humour that would sneak up on you when you least expected it. She loved with her whole heart and gave generously of her time, her love, and her compassion to those she held dear.

Celebration of Life for Audrey McCready will be held Saturday April 18, 2026 at 1:00pm at Peppercorn Restaurant in Oakbank, 544 Main St., Oakbank.

She will be forever loved and always remembered.
