MITCHELL “DARREN” HEIDMAN

March 27, 1965 – May 9, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darren Heidman at St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. With his wife and family by his side, and with the Jets anthem playing, Darren left us here on Earth.

Darren was an amazing, intelligent man who was caring, hard-working, and loving. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Economics and went on to work with Investors Group. He then moved on to the Canada Revenue Agency where he worked for more than twenty-five years. Darren loved his job. He worked hard there, and would go home and work harder still, trying to make his house a home for his family. He never said no, and he put his heart and soul into everything that he did.

Left to cherish Darren’s memory are his loving wife of twelve short years, Lori; three step-children, Lorne, Jenni (Fred), and Lindsay; step-mother Pat Bovey; sisters, Traci (Reg) and Stephanie; “adopted” parents-in-law, Bill and Mildred; “brother” Bill; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Joey; brother, Sasha; mother Dianne Heidman and father, the Hon. John Harvard.

At Darren’s request there will be no service.
